Re: Win11 vs XP - simulation results

What are you guys using to export game scores for 300 to 3000 sims? All I see in wlogstats and logger is the ability to export play results, not the score / margin of victory for 100s of sims. You can't be seriously writing down the scores of 300+ sims?! I won't give up the secret sauce, bu...

Re: Win11 vs XP - simulation results

I used to sim 24,000 games in a week sometimes. However, I learned a while back that traditional simming was not as predictable as it needed to be for the time commitment.

Re: Win11 vs XP - simulation results

What I shared was an example of what I'm seeing. I've likely done nearly 24,000 sims over the past couple of seasons in which I see roughly a 1 TD higher ratio with XP vs Win11. Who knows... I don't recall this noticeable difference in the past. However, it's caught my attention the past couple of s...

Re: Win11 vs XP - simulation results

Here's an example:

I create a game and generate 300 copies of it:

- Win11 - I have a 1.5 to 1 TD ratio vs my opponent
- XP - I have a 2.5 to 1 TD ratio vs my opponent

Same teams, same PPPs, same weather...

Win11 vs XP - simulation results

I simulate games on both a Win11 and XP cpu. I've set both with Win98/ME compatibility mode.

Oddly, I've observed over the past couple of seasons that the simulation results for games using Win11 seem more variable vs the results using XP.

Has anyone else had a similar observation?

Re: The RUN LEFT defense category

In reality PS should focus on 3rd 3-5 in my opinion. That is the situation it was meant to be designed to cover. RL was always meant to be more balanced in the PNFL. Based on original VPNFL guidelines, the biggest differemce between the 2 play types is personell. That was the whole point of the pla...

Re: Sub percents and the new rules

I played at 95% out all last season. The biggest difference I saw is that my starting lineman stayed in the game a little longer than in the past. Unless you have a wide variance in player ratings between your starters and back-ups, it shouldn't make a huge impact. Unless, you have poor EN for all y...

Re: Coaching Profile Bug Heads-Up

Coaches — this is a quick reminder about a long‑standing FBPro98 quirk that is still alive and well that you may not know or forgot. When you are editing your Offensive or Defensive Coaching Profiles, Situation #1 does not behave like the others. If you open or adjust another situation — even somet...
