Opinion Poll re:Game Shedule

Postby Charlie-49ers » Sun Dec 31, 2023 6:04 pm

I was wondering how you guys would feel about changing the game schedule next season whereby you would play sixteen different teams rather than each team in your respective conference twice. Currently, some teams you do not play for at least two seasons, maybe more.

There are no wrong answers or opinions.

I like the traditional schedule format.

I vote for traditional; however, doing the non-traditional occasionally would be a nice changeup.

Definitely need to keep division opponents 2 times per season. I'm open for other ideas after that.
#1 overall pick 2041, #1 overall pick 2042 => made the playoffs...

I think we should still play divisional rivals twice per season, which will make 6-8 of our games each season. Outside of that I think we should be flexible, and maybe have rivalry games outside our division that we play ever y season.

How would we do tiebreakers? Seems relevant given the current standings.

Charlie's proposal follows the European Soccer League format where teams play one home and away, but in our case, it would probably be split home and away, playing each team once. There is a single table with the team having the most points after everyone plays every once. No playoffs are needed. This approach allows for all teams to play every week and not have to sit out weeks for the playoffs. That is a single-table approach. I like this approach. You still have your team rivalries as you do play each other. Then, other rivalries develop.

I do not care if I play everyone every 2 years or not. Unless a team is at the bottom of the standings every year I already see everyone every few seasons. Where is the problem to fix that means sacrificing rivalries and division battles?

This is NOT a poll. There should be graphs and buttons.
As for how things go.... the off 4 games
well I Play Wash - ATL - Det - every year
does not matter my record. 3 wins, 7 wins, 5 wins etc
the only change this year is i got NO instead of Chicago.
