Let the coaches decide because the game tends to make controversial picks.

I say let coaches vote. The game picks some oddball choices. We might make some controversial picks too, but probably less often than the game does.

I don't think either of these two options is ideal.

If we really wanted to do it right (and fairly), we should make better use of the Sundby awards program. This incorporates player of the game and player of the week too.

Voting could come into play on adjusting or fine tuning the settings parameters during periodic off-seasons, then just sit back and let the program do its job.
