Atlanta Falcons Ready for 2042!

Postby Dean-Atlanta » Thu Aug 11, 2022 1:46 am

The move is complete...soon to be reflected in the league files after Rich hits the button. The Mayflower trucks are all unpacked.

Justin Field will still lead the offense, and it will surprise many teams this season. Jalen Reeves-Maybin will still lead the defense that leads the league in defensive penalties against it.

The double digits will be in the WIN column this season, not the LOSS column.

The Falcons will crash the party this season and play in The Tournament.

Are you tanking in 2041 to prepare for 2042?

Good luck! Going to be tough to knock out the favorites (Chicago, Washington, Detroit, and San Francisco) from getting there. Plus, Carolina and New Orleans could both surprise. And you never know, maybe Shawn finally gets his G-men in the playoffs.

Typo....2041, but actually I'm ready for 2041 and 2042 since I will be coaching mostly the same roster both seasons before I have draft picks in the 2043 draft.

Contrary to conventional wisdom I think the NFC is just as challenging, there are not "easy" wins anymore not even against Jerry's PPPs for the CPU teams. Shawn is not be overlooked. Every 5-6-7 wins season he has includes several games where a change here or there means he could have won, and he will win more of those games.

I carry more than enough baggage from my own losing seasons and 0-2 playoff record here in the PNFL. The shortcoming of the Falcons in the NFL is baggage I'm not carrying. If anything I'll be channeling a healthy dose of the 1991 Falcons under Jerry Glanville that had one of the league's best offenses playing the "Red Gun" offense that featured FOUR 1000 yard receivers that season and I think around 5000 yards passing in an era of the NFL where those kinds of numbers were not common.
